Connect Dexi to Goose

MCP server · https://mcp.dexi.net/mcp

Goose is Block’s open-source AI agent. It’s model-agnostic — you bring whichever LLM provider you like — and extends through MCP servers, which Goose calls extensions. Dexi connects as a remote extension over streamable HTTP with OAuth.

What you need

  1. Goose Desktop or the Goose CLI.
  2. A Dexi account — free at app.dexi.net.

Setup

Goose Desktop

  1. Open Settings → Extensions and choose Add custom extension.
  2. Set the type to Streamable HTTP.
  3. Enter the endpoint: https://mcp.dexi.net/mcp
  4. Save — Goose opens your browser for Dexi’s sign-in and approval page.

Goose CLI

  1. Run goose configure.
  2. Choose Add Extension → Remote Extension (Streaming HTTP).
  3. Enter the same URL and complete the browser sign-in when prompted.

Try it

In a session, try: “Look through my Dexi notes for anything about supply-chain resilience and give me a briefing.”

Troubleshooting

The OAuth window never opened

Goose launches your default browser for the approval step — check for a blocked pop-up or a window behind Goose. Re-toggle the extension off and on to retrigger sign-in.

The extension is added but tools don’t appear

Make sure the extension’s toggle is enabled in Settings → Extensions and start a fresh session — extensions load at session start.

Disconnecting

In the Dexi app, open Settings → Connected apps to see every app connected to your account and disconnect any of them instantly. Revoking access there signs Gooseout of your notes no matter what’s configured on the client side.

Frequently asked questions

Which LLM does Dexi work with in Goose?

Any of them. Goose is model-agnostic, and Dexi’s MCP server doesn’t care which model is driving — the tools work the same with every provider Goose supports.

Does Goose need an API key for Dexi?

No. Dexi uses OAuth: Goose registers itself and you approve it on Dexi’s sign-in page. Credentials are revocable from Settings → Connected apps in Dexi.

Is Goose free?

Goose itself is open source and free; you pay only your LLM provider. Dexi has a free plan for up to 1,000 notes.
