Everything becomes a note
Bookmarks, forwarded emails and feed articles all land as notes — one format, so tags, search, the graph, digests and export work identically on everything you save.
Dexi has one load-bearing design decision: every capture channel produces the same thing. A page you bookmark, a newsletter you forward, an RSS article that flows in — each becomes a note, exactly like the ones you type.
That single format is why the rest of the system composes. Tags work on everything. Full-text and semantic search cover everything. The knowledge graph connects everything. Digests can include everything, published feeds can share everything, and export takes everything with you.
Why it matters
Most people’s research is fragmented by arrival channel: links in the browser, newsletters in the inbox, articles in a feed reader, thoughts in a notes app — four silos, four searches, zero cross-references. Collapsing them into one format means the question “where did I see that?” loses its power. You saw it in Dexi, whatever door it came through.
