Email-in

Forward an email, get a note

Send or forward anything to save@my.dexi.net and it becomes a note — newsletters, receipts, ideas from your phone — filed and instantly searchable.

Every Dexi account can save by email: forward any message from your registered address to save@my.dexi.net and it lands in your workspace as a note, with the subject as its title and the body as its content. Hashtags in the message become tags, just as they would in the editor.

It works from any device and any email client, with nothing to install. If your inbox can forward, it can file.

Why it matters

Email is where an enormous amount of valuable reading actually happens — newsletters, industry digests, long threads with collaborators — and where it all disappears. Forwarding the good ones to Dexi separates “worth keeping” from the inbox churn, and makes them full citizens of your knowledge base: searchable by meaning, taggable, connected to your notes.

It’s also the lowest-friction capture channel there is for ideas. An email to yourself becomes a note in your system rather than one more unread message in your inbox.

Who gets the most out of it

Example: A founder’s newsletter habit

You read a dozen newsletters a week. Most are skimmed and forgotten — but this morning’s issue has a sharp breakdown of usage-based pricing you know you’ll want when your own pricing review starts next quarter.

  1. You hit forward, type save@my.dexi.net, and add one line above the quoted issue: “Best breakdown of usage-based pricing I’ve seen #pricing #saas”.
  2. Seconds later it’s a note in Dexi — your comment on top, the full issue below, tagged #pricing and #saas.
  3. Next quarter, preparing the pricing review, you search “usage-based pricing”. The newsletter is there — alongside two bookmarked articles and your own notes from last year’s attempt.
  4. The newsletter itself was deleted from your inbox months ago. The knowledge wasn’t.

Try it in your own workspace — free, no credit card required.
